Our Voice Actors team with our marvelous sound designer Abdel Ghaffaar are coming back to you on Prime Time this Thursday with a new classical fairytale, one of the finest artistic pieces written by Kamil Kilany back in early 20th century, to expose a decisive course in the history of former Russian Empire.

The story was one of the first works of its kind that depicts (in Arabic tale) the story of Peter the Great, one of the most significant Russian Tsars, the one who could make the dramatic change in Russian modern history, and refurbished the empire to emerge into a competitive modern European rival to the traditional Western Monarchies.

The Story was meant to be a simple work oriented to children, which has been narrated and performed however, in our unique audio-drama style with an elegant sound design and modest attic background music, in contribution with our premier voice actors Ahmed, and Lamia for character acting.

Peter The Great

Peter the Great or Peter Alexeyevich, has a deeply inspiring history, and a touching human experience. He lived between 9 June 1672 – 8 February ruled the Tsardom of Russia and later the Russian Empire from 7 May 1682 until his death in 1725, jointly ruling before 1696 with his elder half-brother, Ivan V. Through a number of successful wars, he expanded the Tsardom into a much larger empire that became a major European power and also laid the groundwork for the Russian navy after capturing ports at Azov and the Baltic Sea. He led a cultural revolution that replaced some of the traditionalist and medieval social and political systems with ones that were modern, scientific, Westernised and based on the Enlightenment.[1] Peter’s reforms had a lasting impact on Russia, and many institutions of the Russian government trace their origins to his reign. He is also known for founding and developing the city of Saint Petersburg, which remained the capital of Russia until 1917.

Stay tuned, and have a joyful listening this Thursday night !
